We are currently accepting entries to our annual Write Michigan Teen Poetry Contest, open to teens in grades 6-12 living in Kent County. This is a great opportunity for teens to share their writing and win a cool prize. Teens are encouraged to submit up to two poems by April 1 at midnight to be eligible to win a gift card to Meijer.
There's more! Teens who enter the Poetry Contest are invited to read one of their poems at a Teen Poetry Slam for another chance to win. The Slam will take place at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 1 at the Kentwood (Richard L. Root) Branch. This will be a live and uncensored event. This programming is sponsored in part through the generous gifts of community donors.
