Gap Millage Funding Proposal

A Message from our Executive Director

We will be back on the election ballot Aug. 6 – this time to ask voters to consider a one-year nonrenewable millage to bridge a funding gap in 2025. Our Executive Director Lance Werner shares more on what you need to know.

Gap Funding. Same Rate. No Overlap.

The average homeowner in the KDL service area will pay $145.75 annually, which is about the same as homeowners are paying now. This one-year gap millage is at the same millage rate, with no overlap and no double-dipping. It will not cost taxpayers for the issue to appear on the ballot.
