Edye Evans Hyde Introduces Alabama Story
Join Edye Evans Hyde, Founder and Director of Ebony Road Players, and friends for an introduction to the play Alabama Story, which tells the little-known true story of a librarian who was persecuted for protecting a children’s book. Edye and cast members will share a reading from the play and discuss its relevance today. Alabama Story will be presented at the Grand Rapids Public Museum in recognition of Loving Day. This program is made possible with the support of the Michigan Arts and Culture Council.

The Quiet Epidemic: A Documentary
The Quiet Epidemic follows a young girl from Brooklyn and a Duke University scientist both diagnosed with a disease said to not exist, Chronic Lyme disease. Their search for answers lands them in the middle of a vicious medical debate: Why have tick-borne diseases been allowed to quietly spread around the globe?
