KDL’s Seed Library offers patrons a variety of sample packets of vegetables, fruits, herbs, grains and flowers to promote sustainability, healthy habits and environmental awareness. This year’s One Seed, One State selection, Little Finger Carrot, was donated by the Michigan Seed Library Network. Seeds will be available at all KDL branches and on the Bookmobile starting in mid-March, while supplies last.

The Wild World of Foraging
Explore the wild world of foraging with instructors Katie and Luke Venechuk from In Your Element Wellness. Katie and Luke will help you see the world in a new way and share how foraging for wild foods can enhance lives. Learn about the bounty of edible plants and mushrooms that are all around us, how to identify some key wild foods of the season, safe and ethical harvesting practices, and more. Space is limited so registration is required at kdl.org/events. Doors open 15 minutes before the program begins; check in with staff upon arrival to claim your registration. Any seats left open five minutes before the program begins will be given to interested patrons.
