What do a tire inflator, a film converter and a radon detector all have in common? They are among the new items recently added to the KDL Beyond Books Collection! This collection, which already includes Nintendo Switch consoles, Go Pro® cameras, projectors and virtual reality kits, is designed to give access to higher-priced items
that provide enrichment or educational benefits.
The new items include:
1. Borescope – A 39-inch flexible gooseneck with waterproof camera and two built-in LED lights. For inspecting hard-to-reach areas in your home.
2. Camping Extras – A grab bag of handy odds and ends for camping, including a dry sack, stuff sacks, a flashlight, paracord and a compass.
3. Film and Slide Scanner – With the new SLIDE N SCANTM Digital Film Scanner from KODAK®, you can view, edit and convert your old photos, no tech-savviness necessary! This easy yet elegant 22MP scanner delivers crisp, clear, beautiful images with the press of a button.
4. Film Converter – With the ClearClick® Video to Digital Converter 2.0, you can transfer your videos to digital format with the touch of a button. Convert your VHS collection and enjoy your old movies again. Restore and share your family memories from 20 years ago. You can watch your digitized videos on your computer, tablet, smartphone or TV. Requires a working VCR, camcorder or other video source with RCA/AV output (not included).
5. Radon Detector – The Corentium Home by Airthings radon gas detector allows you to take a reading of the radon levels in your home. Its LCD screen displays the average daily, weekly and long-term concentrations. Powered by three standard AAA batteries, the radon monitor makes it easy to take measurements from one room to another to get an overview of the concentrations of radon in a home, workplace, school or any other location. Radon is radioactive and can give off harmful particles if inhaled. These particles can damage DNA and cause lung cancer.

8. Trekking Poles – Pair of adjustable trekking poles, used for hiking or walking to reduce fatigue and increase balance over rough terrain.
Checking out a Beyond Books item is easy! Borrowers must be KDL cardholders in good standing, at least 18 years old and have agreed to our Beyond Books Borrowers Agreement.
