KDL Welcomes New Programming Manager

Kent District Library is pleased to welcome Hennie Vaandrager to her new role as Programming Manager. She will support system-wide KDL programming including innovation, budgeting, training and quality control.

Vaandrager has worked at KDL for 23 years. Most of that time was spent at the Kentwood Branch as a Youth Librarian and Branch Outreach and Programming Specialist. She has chaired and participated in many workgroups and committees within KDL and nationally.

Vaandrager said, “Programming is such an important part of KDL’s service to the community. From Storytimes to Teen Zones to special presenters, KDL offers a wide variety of free and engaging programs. I am thrilled to take on the role of Programming Manager. I hope to continue the strong tradition of bringing innovative and fun programming to our patrons. Libraries are community hubs and I love to see them thrive.”
