Kent District Library is pleased to announce Lulu Brown's promotion to the Regional Manager I position at the Cascade Twp. and Caledonia Twp. Branches. Brown will provide direct and indirect supervision of all branch staff. She will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective delivery of library services and will serve as a community liaison representing Kent District Library.
"The library is more than books" said Brown. "It is a third place for people seeking ideas, information and excitement. I am excited to continue my journey as a part of the KDL team.”
Prior to joining KDL, she spent the last decade as a manager in the retail industry. She brings a wealth of leadership knowledge and a commitment to great customer service. Brown most recently served as the Regional Manager II for the Cascade and Caledonia Branches. In her previous role, she was instrumental in creating branch schedules, talent development and refreshing service behaviors. She looks forward to the opportunity to continue serving the Cascade and Caledonia communities.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, karaoke and building a community center for children in Ghana.
