Celebrate Black History Month: Learn from Dr. Mae Jemison

Don't miss out on this great opportunity to hear from a true trailblazer, Dr. Mae Jemison.

PBS Books, in partnership with ASALH, opens a new window, will host a virtual conversation with Dr. Jemison on Wednesday, February 3 at 5:00 PM. You can participate via Facebook or YouTube.

During the interview, Dr. Jemison will discuss her newly re-released memoir Finding Where the Wind Goes, opens a new window.  You'll hear about her various and diverse experiences -- all of which make her a trailblazer. This program is the perfect complement to PBS Books' Trailblazing Women Series offered during the 100-year celebration of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, and their celebration of African American life and history during Black History Month.

Dr. Mae Jemison, the world's first woman of color in space, is truly a modern hero with a remarkable, inspiring story to tell. PBS looks forward to sharing her story with the young (ages 8 and up) and the young at heart.  Don't miss it!
