Fall Planning for the Best Spring Planting
Learn tips and tricks from Master Gardener Patti Visner to prepare your garden now for a great start to your spring growing season. For adults.

Mushrooms at the Library
Interested in cultivating your own mushrooms? What about identifying mushrooms in the wild, knowing which ones are safe to eat and which ones you need to avoid? Programs on both these topics are available this fall at your library and are led by a state-certified Wild
Mushroom Expert. To learn more about the Mushroom Cultivation and Wild Mushroom Identification programs, visit kdl.org/mushrooms. For adults.

Ghost Hunting 101
Ghost Hunter Wayne Thomas's grandfather described the first ghost he ever saw as looking like “the light of a lantern." Join Thomas and fellow local Ghost Hunter Brandon Hoezee to learn basic ghost hunting terms, tools and techniques so that you too can learn to experience these lanterns. You'll also get to hear about historic haunted locations in and around Grand Rapids and southwest Michigan, and you may even get a chance to share some of your own ghost stories. For adults.

Not-So-Scary Storytime
Bring the whole family to enjoy some not-too-scary stories. Costumes welcome!

Cider Making 101
Vander Mill’s staff share the cider making process, best practices and a taste of fresh-pressed apples (depending on pressed apple availability). For adults 21 years of age and older.

Fall Fest
Celebrate the season with autumn craft s, games and art activities that are perfect for the whole family.

Walker Pumpkin Bash
Saturday, September 30, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Join us outside the Walker City Complex for an afternoon of fall family fun. There will be free pumpkins for the first 1,000 kids ages 12 and under, trick or treating, pumpkin decorating, live animals, a magic show and more. Presented by the City of Walker, Walker Ice & Fitness Center and the Walker Branch of Kent District Library.
