School’s out for the summer, but it doesn’t have to be a bummer... because Gather 2 Grow’s summertime student lunches are back and better than ever! Several KDL branches and the Bookmobile are partnering with Feeding America
West Michigan to provide no cost lunches for youth ages 0-18 and adults with disabilities through age 26. The meals will be available “grab n’ go” style on weekdays June 2 – August 29. Times vary by branch location. Learn more at kdl.org/lunch.
“Gather 2 Grow is a critical program serving the community because it targets a vulnerable population – kids. During the summer, they can access food support and other resources, such as literacy opportunities and computer services, in a safe and welcoming space. This is ultimately why Gather 2 Grow is successful," said Shay Kovacs, Programs Manager for Feeding America West Michigan.
