KDL Vibes Fest Performer Spotlight: Julianne Howe-Bouwens & Philip Pletcher

There's no better way to enjoy summer than with a music festival featuring your favorite West Michigan artists from the KDL Vibes, opens a new window collection. Vibes Fest will include daily concerts at KDL's Cascade Twp. Branch August 5-9, and the event will culminate with an all-day music extravaganza on August 10.

Julianne Howe-Bouwens & Philip Pletcher will be performing on Saturday, August 10 at 4:00 PM at the Cascade Twp. Branch. Julianne has been a theater kid all her life. She loves singing, dancing and making people laugh. Her love for Broadway music started very early on in life. She has participated in some amazing musicals such as Sister Act, Avenue Q, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Dreamgirls.

Philip Pletcher is a West Michigan pianist, conductor, teacher, composer and actor. He conducts the Schubert Male Chorus, is pianist for the Grand Rapids Women’s Chorus, and performs with POSH4, a quartet of pianists. He is active as a soloist and has worked as a collaborative pianist with Opera Grand Rapids and many area musicians. Phil is pianist for Temple Emanuel in Grand Rapids and operates a studio out of The Piano Cottage as chair of the keyboard division. He can be located at phil@philippletcher.com

Concert attendees will get to hear classic Broadway tunes mixed with some popular current music for a little flare. They are encouraged to sing and dance along!

"I love that the library is so invested in bringing the community and the arts together," Julianne said.

Julianne loves curbside pick-up at the library. She can reserve books and movies online, wait for notification that the order is ready and then pick everything up without leaving her vehicle.

She can't wait to meet you at the show!
