Kent District Library Hires Director of Projects & Planning

Kent District Library is pleased to announce the selection of Jaci Cooper to serve as the Director of Projects & Planning. She will oversee KDL's portfolio of projects, process improvement, municipality building projects, strategic planning and system-wide calendaring.

“I'm always actively seeking to dispel the myth that creativity and organization cannot co-exist,” Cooper said. “In my new role, I plan to help harness the abundance of creative energy at KDL and continue launching processes like our new strategic plan and a project management office that allow for us to quickly and efficiently meet our ever-evolving community needs and work with focus and purpose.”

Cooper’s work history includes customer service, retail management, medical office scheduling and project coordination. She intentionally sought out library services because it is the perfect intersection of her professional interests — literacy, community and the arts. She was a Circulation Assistant at the Cascade Township Branch and worked as the Executive Assistant before moving into her new role at KDL.

She spends much of her time outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking and gardening.  She pursues an array of creative outlets like writing, photography, cooking, home renovation, DIYs and décor.
