We are sorry to announce that the Author Talk and Book Signing with Laurie Halse Anderson, scheduled for Thursday, April 27, has been cancelled. The author recently won the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, the richest award in children's literature, and will be out of the country. We congratulate her on this huge honor! The Women at Risk event scheduled for the same evening has also been cancelled.
We have a lot of copies of Laurie's books on our shelves and we encourage you to check them out. A discussion on her book Speak will take place at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, March 29 at the Grandville Branch. A discussion on her book Shout will take place at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, April 4 at the Wyoming Branch. We hope to see you there.
