Hi! My name is Katie L. and I have had the most amazing summer this year. I went on all sorts of adventures with my KDL friends!
On my first adventure I met Mickey Mouse and we had the most amazing beignets. Did you know they eat these in France? Speaking of France, Epcot was so great and I learned so much about the whole world and tasted food from all of the countries. On my last day at Disney World, I watched fireworks!
Then I was off to Grand Haven State Park. The beach was beautiful; it was so much fun to explore.
The next week I went to my first Whitecaps game. I've seen the tickets being given away as a Summer Wonder prize, but I actually got to go myself! I met all the characters from Star Wars! Star Wars books are some of my favorite books to sit in the Wonderknook and read on a clear, starry night at the library.
On Saturday we packed up to go camping. I roasted marshmallows and read books. But the best activities were minigolf, go carts and eating ice cream.
I had a day on the beach enjoying the sun... but don't worry; I put on lots of sunblock! I sat in the biggest rocking chair I have ever seen.I also enjoyed a great day at Michigan Adventure! Have you been to Michigan Adventure? There are so many rides! I rode rides until I barely could hold my trunk up and then slept the whole ride home. I'm finishing off my amazing summer with the Renaissance Fair! I love the clothes from this time frame.
I can't wait to get back to all my friends at the library and play hide-and-seek again!
