Unlock Your Potential with the Step2 Program at North Kent Connect

By Catherine Landers, Director of Client Services, North Kent Connect

Are you ready to take the next step toward a brighter, more stable future for yourself and your family? Our case managers and Step2 are here to support you on that journey.

This isn’t your average support program. The Step2 program is a one-on-one partnership that helps you set your own goals and achieve them, whether you're aiming to improve your finances, find more stable housing, continue your education or grow in your career.

So, what is Step2?

The process begins with completing the Bridge to Self-Sufficiency Assessment, which provides you and our case manager with clear insights into which areas of your life require further support: housing, family, health, finances, education or employment. Working with a case manager, you create a personalized plan, identify the areas you want to work on and begin to set goals. The best part about the program is that you define your own goals and set your own pace. The case manager is there every step of the way, offering guidance, encouragement and resources.

Why should you sign up?

· It's personal – You get one-on-one support tailored to your life, your dreams and your schedule.

· It works – Participants report major wins, such as better jobs, higher income, reduced debt and increased confidence.

· It's empowering – This is about more than surviving, it’s about thriving. You’re not just working on short-term fixes; you’re building long-term success.

· It's free – There’s no cost to participate, just a commitment to showing up for yourself and your goals.

Who is this program for?

The Step2 program is for registered North Kent Connect clients and is designed for individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you're a parent trying to create more stability for your family, a student juggling school and work, or someone just feeling stuck, this program could be the launchpad you need.
