Mark your calendar for a free music festival celebrating your favorite West Michigan artists from the KDL Vibes collection. Vibes Fest will take place from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 13 at the Cascade Twp. Branch of KDL. Chat with other music fans, hear some of your favorite local musicians and get introduced to your next favorite band—all while hanging out at the library.
Mark Lavengood will perform in the outdoor pavilion at 1:00 PM. He is a distinguished multi-instrumentalist, performer and producer whose work in the Bluegrass, Americana & Roots Music genres has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal following.
"I love Grand Rapids and hope to inspire future performers and fans of music alike," Mark said. "I'm excited to rock my blend of folk, roots and Americana Music for my hometown at KDL Vibes Fest!"
Mark enjoys bringing his kids to the library to explore all the offerings.
"From books to Playstations, it's hard to get them to leave. Personally, it's the only place I print songs I need to learn for wedding gigs too," Mark said.
