Kent District Library’s Executive Director Lance Werner has been elected as President of the Lakeland Library Cooperative’s nine-member library board. Werner will serve a one-year term that may be renewed for a two-year limit.

The mission of Lakeland Library Cooperative is to strengthen 42 member libraries in eight west Michigan counties by providing the means to share resources, services and expertise for the benefit of individuals and communities. The Cooperative provides consulting services, delivery, continuing education, advocacy, group purchases and a shared public access catalog to member libraries. LLC serves just under 1.4 million residents.
