Kent District Library is pleased to welcome Ashten VanderPloeg to her new role as Regional Manager II at the Cascade Twp. and Caledonia Twp. Branches. She provides direct and indirect supervision of all branch staff and is responsible for day-to-day circulation operations and implementation of policy and procedural changes.
VanderPloeg began working for KDL in 2012 and has held many roles including Shelver, Patron Services Associate, Youth Librarian and Adult Librarian. She began her new role on November 17.
"My greatest hope is that we derive joy and meaning from the work we do, that our teams feel supported, and all feel welcome in our spaces," VanderPloeg said.
