Literary greats will grace Grand Rapids for the ninth annual Literary Libations Gala Fundraiser hosted by Kent District Library. The event will take place at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, September 19 at JW Marriott, 235 Louis St. NW. A diverse cast of four bestselling authors will take to the stage for a memorable night of dinner, drinks and discussion.
This year, the presenter line-up includes Susie Finkbeiner, author of The All-American, Willie Horton, author of Willie Horton: 23, Stephen Graham Jones, author of Don’t Fear the Reaper and Lynne Olson, author of Empress of the Nile. Each guest will receive one featured book, and books will be available for purchase at the event.
An individual and an organization will receive the 2nd annual Literacy Champion Awards at the event.
“Literary Libations is an exciting event that gives people the chance to meet their favorite authors while supporting a great cause,” said Randy Goble, KDL’s Director of Engagement.
Proceeds from Literary Libations will support KDL programs and services. Tickets can be purchased at kdl.org/literary-libations. Tickets are $175 per person.
