Kent District Library is pleased to welcome Ashley Smolinski as Regional Manager II at the Cascade and Caledonia Twp. Branches. Smolinski will provide direct and indirect supervision of all branch staff. She will be responsible for day-to-day circulation operations and implementation of policy and procedural changes.
"I look forward to working closely with the teams as we focus on customer service and materials advisory," said Smolinski. "It's been wonderful to see so much growth and promotion in the past year for our Cascade and Caledonia teams, and I look forward to supporting our new talent as they learn and grow within KDL."
Smolinski was a teacher before starting her library career. She's worked in many roles at KDL including Adult and Youth Librarian, as well as Branch Outreach and Programming Specialist. Smolinski's hobbies include exploring the woods with her young children, camping, playing board games, puzzles and reading non-fiction books, usually on parenting or leadership.
