By Toby Schuler, Branch Librarian
People come from far and wide to visit the East Grand Rapids Branch of Kent District Library. Some like to read a newspaper or use their laptop while enjoying a view of Reeds Lake. Some like to get work done in our private study rooms. Some come for storytimes or fun play spaces in the children’s floor of the building. Some like to combine the visit with a chance to walk around East Grand Rapids.
The East Grand Rapids Branch has a lot of beauty to offer. Our local history room tells the story of how people enjoyed Reeds Lake over the years, and you can be part of that history by enjoying the view of seasonal changes on the lake from our windows or the deck. Some folks fish from the back boardwalk or launch kayaks behind the fire station. The staff also emphasize beautiful decorations. Homemade paper crafts by Librarian Kait adorn much of the main floor. Please come see for yourself!
