Experience KDL: Five Reasons to Visit the Cascade Twp. Branch

By Ashley Geglio, Branch Librarian

You may have heard that the Cascade Twp. Branch recently went through a refresh project resulting in an updated look with all new flooring, paint, furniture and a complete redesign of the children’s area. Even with all of the changes, the library still maintains that cozy and homey feel that the community knows and loves about Cascade. Highlighted below are just a handful of the Cascade comforts for you to enjoy, but you’ll have to visit to discover the rest!

1. Fireplace: A statement piece in the new living room space, the fireplace is the perfect spot to catch up with a friend or jump into your next great read.

2. Study Pods: When you need a quiet place to get some work done or take a phone call, these first come, first served study pods provide just enough privacy to get into that productive zone.

3. Lactation Room: Don’t let mealtime routines stop you and your baby from spending time at the library. If you prefer to step away from the action, the lactation room provides you with a comfortable space to feed and change the baby. If you’ve got another little one with you, there is a small basket of toys to keep them occupied as well.

4. Friendship Park: Just outside the library is Cascade’s Friendship Park. There are many places to tuck away and experience the outdoors throughout the park, but don’t forget about the picnic tables around the back of the library where you can connect to the free Wi-Fi while getting some fresh air.

5. Chapter Two Bookstore: The Cascade Friends of the Library volunteers are always hard at work collecting and sorting donations to stock the used bookstore which has now expanded to include a nook to kick up your feet and enjoy those great finds.
