KDL is excited to host our first ever Disability Expo. The event will take place from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 12 at the Grandville Branch of KDL located at 4055 Maple St. In partnership with the Robert Nelson Foundation and Kent Intermediate School District, we invite people with disabilities and their families to come explore all the resources available in West Michigan.
The event will feature vendors from several advocacy groups and community agencies, as well as an author talk from Katie Herrygers, author of the book, I Am Me. Maggie’s Be Cafe will be on hand to serve coffee, and other refreshments will be provided. The first 50 families to attend will receive a free copy of I Am Me to take home. Register to win door prizes, grab some great swag and learn about services that support the disabled community.
