KDL Accepting Music Submissions from Local Talent

Calling all local musicians! We are now accepting submissions to KDL Vibes, our streaming platform that features music from West Michigan musicians.

KDL Vibes offers an online collection that showcases and shares current local music for free. Musicians who would like to have their music selected to be featured in the collection are invited to submit a sample track from their album by August 31 using the online form at vibes.kdl.org. After the submission period, a jury consisting of members of West Michigan’s local music community will review and make their selections. Musicians that are selected will sign a non-exclusive license agreement and receive an honorarium of $250 for sharing their music through Vibes.

We have some exciting new additions to our curator team:

She's been a radio programmer at WYCE 88.1fm for nearly 20 years and has extensive experience in live event production, including her role as Venue and Booking Manager at The Pyramid Scheme. Nicole also writes for GR Magazine, worked at WYCE as Community Relations Coordinator, launched dizzybird records and was the Director of Programming and Production at Kalamazoo State Theatre.

Della Marie Levi: Della Marie is an educator, entrepreneur and social justice advocate with a love for old-school hip-hop. She owns Della Soul Records and is an urban farmer.

Audrey Pearson: Based in West Michigan, Audrey is an audio engineer, performer and singer-songwriter. She co-founded Sound Check, a community center in Lowell, and released her debut album, "Roots," in 2022. Audrey was also a NAMM showcase performer in 2023.
