KDL’s programming department schedules and provides supplies for KDL programs happening throughout the year. Including their manager, the Programming department is made up of just four people. Here are some of the amazing things that this department did in 2025.
• Inventoried and distributed 7,000 Summer Wonder adult prizes and 3,420 Let It Snow prizes.
• Sorted and distributed 62,000 prize coupons to the branches.
• Published 6,848 events to kdl.org/events.
• Reserved and routed 851 Adult, Teen, Youth, KDL Lab and Outdoor Games programming tubs to the branches.
• Managed 744 titles for storytimes.
• Scheduled 660 programs with 123 presenters.
• Placed 511 orders for programs.
• Sent 420 glue sticks to branches.
• Took meetings on the White Pine Trail and walked an average of 208 miles.
• Chatted with the Marketing and Communications team for approximately 156 hours on how to promote programs.
• Attended 108 meetings with different programming work groups and 182 meetings for new projects.
• Ordered 81 gallons of bubbles for storytime play.
• Partnered with eight organizations for programs.
• Threw a bunch of random chip flavors into a bowl to make chip salad one time to the immediate regret of only one out of 4 people.
• Experienced one stress-induced case of shingles leading up to On the Same Page 2025.
