"I first learned about Write Michigan through a friend who was participating. It sounded fun and I like writing, so I decided to submit. I never expected to be a Judge's Choice Winner! Overall, the experience has been so rewarding and just plain fun. I enjoyed writing my little short story and it was a cool challenge to keep it under the word count! I've realized I like writing short stories very much. I encourage anyone who is on the fence or thinks their work couldn't win, or people who've never even thought about entering a writing contest, to bite the bullet and submit their story! You never know where it could take you."
