Need a simple summer adventure for your family with minimal travel? Spend a Tuesday with us at the Grandville branch!
Start your morning at the Farmer's Market right outside the library. Pick up some fresh goodies and say hello to local vendors. You will love the buzz of a busy summer morning.
Then at 10:00 AM, join us for Outdoor Playtime in the library's outdoor amphitheater. We'll have bubbles floating through the air, chalk for the colorful artists, hula hoops and ankle skip ball spinning, crafts, water tables to help beat the heat and plenty of other games ready for kids to explore. Don't forget to visit our outdoor music area, where your musical heart can make a melody on chimes and hands-on fun instruments.
By lunchtime, you may not even want to leave, and you don't have to! Take a break inside the library to check out books and pick up your Summer Wonder reading challenge materials. At 12:30 PM, Feeding America West Michigan provides free grab-and-go meals for students under 18 and individuals with disabilities up to age 26. The nutritious, shelf-stable meals are easy to pick up and include options for a variety of dietary needs.
Still have energy to burn? Take your picnic just down the road (0.5 miles) to Wedgwood Park, a local favorite with a playground, a giant sandbox and access to Buck Creek. Watch the ducks glide by or splash your toes in the water!
One Tuesday. One library. So many ways to play.
Bring the kids, bring your curiosity and let the adventure begin!
