Why does Stampworthy focus on the physical items you check out?
1.) By checking out physical books, you are actually saving the library money. Physical resources are often less expensive for the library to offer on a per checkout basis.
2.) Wait times might be shorter for physical materials than digital ones. For many people, putting new and popular items on hold through Libby is second nature, but with our Express physical copies, the book you are waiting for might be on the shelf at your nearest KDL branch.
3.) Studies show that people often remember and understand what they read a little better when they read a physical book instead of on a screen. Turning pages and seeing where information is in the book makes it easier for our brains to remember it.
