Now, let's get to know a little more about Megan Chance before the big event.
- Megan was born in Ohio. She moved to Washington as a child and continues to live in the Pacific Northwest with her husband.
- Megan is a history buff! She says that her interest in history began when she was young, and she found herself reaching for historical novels and classics early in her teenage years.
- On her interest in history, Megan says that she often does several months of research before writing a new historical novel and reads a lot of material from the time period to get a feel for how people talked, what they saw, what they felt and even what they smelled.
- Some early influences on Megan's writing include romance and suspense authors such as Mary Stewart, Anya Seton, Susan Howatch and Norah Lofts, as well as fantasy authors J. R. R. Tolkien and Anne McCaffrey, and historical novelists Taylor Caldwell and Leon Uris.
