Kent District Library is pleased to announce the return of Legendary Readers, a simple and fun reading program designed to help children develop a lifetime love of reading and learning. Participants in grades K-5 are asked to read, write or visit the library for 100 days throughout the school year, outside of the classroom.
This year, Legendary Readers has a Griffin theme and is offered in partnership with the Grand Rapids Griffins! Completers will receive a sparkly Griffin pen and be entered to win one of ten $100 gift cards to Schuler Books. Plus, one lucky winner will receive an additional grand prize: a VIP Family Night at a Grand Rapids Griffins hockey game!
“Legendary Readers is about so much more than reading — it’s about helping kids discover stories they love, explore their imaginations and make reading a fun part of their everyday lives,” said Monica Walen, Branch Outreach and Programming Specialist at KDL. “We want every child to feel excited to visit the library, discover something new and know that they belong here.”
