Parents, we know that it can sometimes be time-consuming placing holds on all the items you and your children want to read together. Have you considered asking us for book bundles of board books, picture books and beginning readers? It’s a great way to get a variety of reading choices, and maybe even discover some new-to-you authors and series. And if you’ve signed up for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten or Mission: Read, you’ll want a lot of books to choose from! Just tell us what kind of materials you’re interested in (our order form is here), and we will browse the shelves and place holds for you. You’ll be notified as soon as they’re ready, and you can pick them up via curbside during KDL open hours.
Don’t have time to fill out a request? KDL is now offering ready-to-go book bundles. No ordering or wait period necessary - just call the curbside number when you arrive at your home library branch and tell us whether you want a stack of board books, picture books, early readers or chapter books. We hope you enjoy what we've been setting aside for you.
And although you can now sign up for our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten online and participate in Mission:Read online, you’re more than welcome to ask us via curbside for our pre-printed charts, stickers and rewards. Happy reading!
