In Fall 2017, KDL announced a partnership with Kelloggsville Public Schools to transform Kelloggsville High School's state-of-the-art media center into a community library. The Wyoming-based public high school recently opened a two-story, 6,000-square-foot media center that would traditionally be open only to its 700 students. The community library, slated to open to the public at specific times outside of school hours beginning in January 2018, highlights Kent District Library’s goal to challenge the traditional concept of what a library is and to ensure its many programs are available to everyone in the county.
